Nestle Quik MUSCLE Offer

Nestle partnered with Mattel during the heyday of MUSCLEs to offer a single MUSCLE in every specially-marked tin of Nestle Quik. According to UofMUSCLE.com, the MUSCLEs included were just standard pink-colored poster figures.

The artwork is surprisingly bootleggy in style, different than the artwork included on the usual MUSCLE assortments like the 4-packs and the 28-packs.

Thanks to Doctor Dew for compositing and restoring the poster image above!  The M.U.S.C.L.E. poster was a mail-away offer from Mattel. One could be ordered by sending two four pack proof of purchases or one 28-pack proof of purchase. At first, the poster featured all-pink figures. As the line expanded into non-pink colors, the poster was updated with the new colors. Shown here is the all-pink poster.

M.U.S.C.L.E. Basic Toyline Info What are M.U.S.C.L.E.s? What's their story? M.U.S.C.L.E.s, also called MUSCLE men or MUSCLE things, are small, 2-inch PVC figures from the 80s with an "intergalactic wrestling" theme (M.U.S.C.L.E. is an acronym for Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere). They were most likely released in late 1985. The toyline included "hundreds of different figures" and various accessories (see the links to your right for details).
